About the Dashbird newsroom

Dashbird Newsroom is published by Innolope LLC, which makes Dashbird, a paid OBD2 app for car owners. We cover what affects people who own or shop for a car, starting with Cadillac: recalls, service bulletins, model-year changes, new models and deals.

How stories are made

Every story starts from primary sources: manufacturer releases, NHTSA recall filings, manufacturer service bulletins and manufacturer offer pages, plus reporting from named outlets. Each story links its sources at the end.

Figures such as prices, vehicle counts and deadlines are checked across those sources. Where they disagree, the story says so or leaves the figure out. Quotes are short and attributed.

Stories follow one style guide: no hype, a brief that says what the news means for owners or buyers, and dates and recall campaign numbers written into the text.

Independence

We take no payment from carmakers or dealers, and stories carry no affiliate links.

Dashbird is our product, so each story ends with one short tip about the app. We report recalls and problems whatever they mean for us.

Dates

The date on a story is the day we published it. Older filings, releases and offers are dated in the text. When a story is changed after the day it was published, an “Updated” date shows next to the original one.

Corrections

If a story gets something wrong, email [email protected]. We correct errors promptly and note the change and its date at the end of the story.
