2026 Cadillac Escalade-V Checo Pérez Edition: 11 Numbered SUVs for Mexico

Cadillac's Mexico-only Escalade-V Checo Pérez Edition costs 4,099,000 pesos, about $222,500, and changes the trim, not the 682-hp V8. Only 11 will be sold.

Cadillac's Mexican arm announced the 2026 Escalade-V Checo Pérez Edition on October 19, 2026, a run of just 11 vehicles sold only in Mexico. The SUV went on sale through Cadillac dealers across the country on October 20 at 4,099,000 pesos, or roughly $222,500 at current exchange rates. Eleven is Sergio Pérez's racing number, and each truck carries numbered plaques signed by him.

Underneath the badges it is the same Escalade-V that Cadillac sells in the US. The changes are about appearance, personalization and provenance, not performance.

What makes it different

GM de México says the edition was developed by Cadillac's global design team, and that Pérez was involved from the first sketches through the unveiling. The details:

  • Exterior color schemes in black or white, each paired with a contrasting two-tone cabin
  • Two plaques, numbered from 1/11 through 11/11 and carrying Pérez's signature, one on the B-pillar and one on the center console
  • Escalade and V-Series emblems in black, with single-color Cadillac logos front and rear
  • A V-Series engine cover in exposed carbon fiber
  • Sport pedals
  • Puddle lights in the side mirrors that project V-Series graphics
  • 24-inch six-spoke wheels in a Satin Graphite finish
  • A welcome kit for the owner

"I hope the customers who get one of these 11 units enjoy it as much as I enjoyed being part of this project," Pérez said in the GM de México announcement (translated from Spanish).

The SUV was presented at the US Ambassador's residence in Mexico City. Its timing follows Pérez's first season with Cadillac's Formula 1 team and comes days before his home race, the Mexico City Grand Prix on November 1, which Motorsport.com reports will be his 300th Grand Prix start.

The hardware is unchanged

Mechanically, the Checo Pérez Edition is a standard Escalade-V:

  • Supercharged 6.2-liter V8 rated at 682 hp and 653 lb-ft of torque
  • 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive
  • Six-piston Brembo front brakes and an electronic limited-slip differential
  • Air Ride Adaptive Suspension with Magnetic Ride Control
  • Active-valve exhaust and V-Mode settings for brake feel, engine sound and driving response
  • Seating for seven and a maximum towing rating of 3,266 kg, about 7,200 lb

The cabin carries the 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display with Google built-in, a head-up display, augmented-reality navigation and two 12.6-inch screens for second-row passengers. Mexican buyers also get two years of OnStar's top Premium plan with unlimited data.

GM de México has not said whether the 11 units are split evenly between the black and white versions, and it has not listed the edition's own weight or performance figures. Motorsport.com notes there are no performance changes, which matches the release.

Buyer brief

What it means for buyers

  • US shoppers cannot order one. Cadillac sells the edition only in Mexico. Vehicles built for other markets usually lack the US certification label, and NHTSA treats bringing them in as a regulated import process, so buying one across the border is not a simple option.
  • The US has its own numbered Escalade-V. Cadillac's 2027 Escalade-V 125th Anniversary Collector Series, announced on October 22, offers 252 serialized SUVs in the US and Canada from about $239,000 including destination. Like the Checo Pérez Edition, its changes are cosmetic.
  • Same car to own and service. For anyone who already drives an Escalade-V, this edition changes nothing. The engine, transmission, brakes and suspension are shared, so maintenance intervals, parts and dealer service match the regular model. Only edition-specific trim, such as the wheels, plaques and carbon-fiber cover, would need special ordering.
  • Pricing context. In the US, the regular 2027 Escalade-V starts at $169,300 before destination, according to Cadillac. Direct comparisons with the Mexican price are rough, since exchange rates move and taxes and fees differ between the two markets.

With only 11 built, most of these SUVs are likely to stay with collectors and Pérez fans in Mexico. For US Cadillac owners, the edition is mainly a sign of how Cadillac plans to use its Formula 1 program: as a reason to sell limited, higher-priced versions of existing road cars.
