The 2027 Cadillac Vistiq is a light second-year update to Cadillac's three-row electric SUV, and its most useful change is one owners will notice at a fast charger: every trim now has a native NACS port, so the Vistiq can plug into Tesla Superchargers and other NACS stations without an adapter. Prices rise $105 across the lineup, a few styling details change, and some luxury touches from the 2026 model are gone, most notably the power soft-close doors.

GM Authority reports that 2027 production began May 18, 2026, at GM's Spring Hill Assembly plant in Tennessee, after dealers opened order books on March 12.

Prices, trims and powertrain

Including the $1,995 destination charge, the four trims start at:

  • Luxury: $79,495
  • Sport: $79,995
  • Premium Luxury: $93,995
  • Platinum: $98,595

The hardware underneath carries over. Every Vistiq has two motors and all-wheel drive, rated at 615 hp and 650 lb-ft, and a 102 kWh battery. Cadillac quotes an EPA-estimated range of up to 305 miles; Car and Driver lists 300 to 305 miles depending on configuration. Cadillac estimates 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds using the Velocity Max mode, and Car and Driver recorded 3.6 seconds in its own test. Towing capacity is 5,000 pounds.

Onboard AC charging depends on trim. Luxury and Sport use an 11.5 kW charger, while Premium Luxury and Platinum get 19.2 kW, which only reaches full speed on an 80-amp home circuit. The Premium Luxury also adds air suspension, rear-wheel steering, six-seat captain's chairs, an augmented-reality head-up display and Night Vision.

What changed for 2027

  • Charge port: native NACS replaces CCS. Owners will need a NACS-to-CCS adapter at CCS-only stations.
  • Grille: Sport and Platinum swap the chrome grille header for gloss black.
  • Rear glass: the patterned "Mondrian" graphic on the rear quarter windows is gone.
  • Doors: power soft-close doors, standard on every 2026 Vistiq, are no longer offered, according to GM Authority.
  • Badge: the rear "900" badge, a rounded torque figure in newton-meters, becomes a plain "E4," part of Cadillac's move away from torque badges across the lineup.
  • Digital Key: the hardware that lets a phone or watch act as the key is standard, but GM Authority reports the feature needs an over-the-air update and GM has not said when it will arrive.
  • Interior: Premium Luxury trades its Phantom Blue cabin for black with contrasting white stitching and piping.
  • Paint: Cashmere, Blue Graphite Tricoat and Adobe Frost, a limited-run matte finish, are new; Nimbus Metallic and Celestial Metallic are dropped. Of the nine colors, Argent Silver Metallic is the only one at no extra cost, and it is not offered on Platinum.
  • Wheels: two designs are dropped, leaving seven.

Where the Vistiq stands

GM's third-quarter delivery report shows 2,587 Vistiqs sold from July through September, down 34.1% from a year earlier, when buyers rushed to use the $7,500 federal EV credit before it expired. Through nine months the Vistiq is up 14.5%, at 6,490, because 2025 was its launch year.

Car and Driver rates the 2027 model 9 out of 10 and ranks it fourth among electric mid-size luxury SUVs, behind the Lucid Gravity, Porsche Cayenne Electric and BMW iX. Its main complaints are numb steering, steep top-trim prices and the lack of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which GM leaves out of its EVs.

Buyer brief

What it means for buyers

  • Road-trippers gain the most. The NACS port removes the adapter step at Superchargers open to GM EVs. Keep a CCS adapter in the car for stations that have not switched.
  • 2026 leftovers are the other choice. A 2026 Vistiq in dealer stock keeps the soft-close doors, the Phantom Blue option and the window graphics, but it has a CCS port and needs an adapter at Superchargers. Compare any discount against that trade-off.
  • Check trim availability. GM Authority reported in June that the Premium Luxury and Platinum were temporarily closed to orders. Cadillac's site now lists all four trims, but ask the dealer whether a factory order is possible or only stock units.
  • Don't buy for Digital Key yet. Plan on using the fob until the software update arrives.
  • Home charging: the 11.5 kW charger needs a 60-amp circuit to run at full rate; the 19.2 kW unit needs 80 amps. Price the electrician before choosing a trim for its faster charging.
  • No federal credit. The IRS credit for new EVs ended for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025, so the price negotiated with the dealer, plus any Cadillac incentive, is the full story.
